Step right up and discover the art of vintage poster design in this exciting hands-on digital workshop!
Young creatives will use Procreate to explore the bold colours, striking typography and eye-catching layouts that made classic circus posters so iconic.
This workshop is inspired by the vibrant imagery of Circus D’Hiver, the world’s oldest surviving circus and a key influence on Joe Furlonger’s celebrated Circus artworks. Participants will learn design principles while experimenting with printmaking-inspired techniques and dynamic digital illustration tools.
They will develop their own custom typeface, create dramatic compositions and bring a spectacular big-top scene to life as they craft a one-of-a-kind vintage circus poster worthy of the centre ring. Perfect for young artists keen to explore creativity, storytelling and digital design in a fun and engaging environment.
This workshop is suitable for young people aged 8 years and over. Spaces are limited. Basic knowledge of using iPads is required. iPads are provided.
Pine Rivers Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
