About
One place to check what's on for kids
What InfoKids is
InfoKids brings together events, farms and pick-your-own, playgrounds, indoor play, museums, pools and school holiday programs. Instead of a long list of articles, every listing has the facts parents ask about first: when it is, which ages it suits, what it costs, whether it's indoors or out, and where it is on a map. You can filter by those things, and save the ones you like on your phone.
Sydney is our first city. We're adding listings and checking them as we go, so coverage is still growing. Other cities appear in the city menu so you can see where we're heading, but they don't have listings yet.
Who it's for
Parents and carers of babies through to young teens, and the grandparents, nannies and teachers who end up doing the planning. InfoKids is written for adults. There are no accounts, and we don't collect information about children.
How we choose listings
- We list places that welcome kids, and events and programs made for them or well suited to them.
- Listings come from venues and organisers who send them to us, from official sources such as council and venue what's-on calendars, and from our own research.
- Every listing links back to the venue or organiser, so you can book and check details at the source.
- Nobody pays to be listed. If we ever sell featured spots, they'll be clearly labelled as promoted. We don't sell them today.
How we check them
Details change: sessions sell out, opening hours shift with the seasons and programs get cancelled. Before a listing goes up we check it against the venue's or organiser's own website, and we record when a person last confirmed a place's details. Finished events drop out of the listings on their own.
We're still working through our first Sydney listings, so not all of them have been verified yet. Please confirm with the venue before you head off, especially for bookings, prices and opening hours.
Report a problem
If something on InfoKids is wrong, out of date, or shouldn't be here, please tell us. Email hello@infokids.com.au or use the contact form, and include the page link if you can.
Our promise: we read every report. If a listing is wrong we fix it, and if we can't confirm it we take it down until we can. Venues and organisers can ask us to correct or remove their own listings at any time.
Who we are
InfoKids is made in Sydney by parents who got tired of checking ten websites to plan one Saturday. If you have an idea that would make it more useful, we'd love to hear it.
