Using InfoKids

InfoKids (infokids.com.au) is a free guide to things to do with kids. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Listings change, so check before you go

We bring together information from venues, organisers, councils and other public sources, and we check it, but dates, prices, ages, opening hours and availability can change without notice. We can't promise that every listing is accurate, complete or current. Always confirm the details with the venue or organiser before you go or pay. Some images on the site are placeholders and may not show the actual venue.

Bookings, tickets and payments are between you and the provider. InfoKids isn't a party to them and doesn't run the activities we list.

You decide whether an activity suits your children, and you're responsible for supervising them. Ages, accessibility and facilities in a listing are a guide only. Follow venue rules and safety advice, such as swimming between the flags.

If you're a provider

When you send us a listing, you confirm that:

• you're authorised to list it, and the details are accurate. You'll tell us when they change;
• you own, or have permission to share, what you send us (text, links and any images);
• you're responsible for your activity: running it safely and lawfully, including Working With Children Check requirements for your staff and volunteers in your state or territory, and any licences, insurance and consumer-law obligations.

You let us publish, edit for length and clarity, and share what you send across InfoKids (the website, the newsletter and our app), at no cost. We can decline or remove a listing at any time. To change or remove yours, email hello@infokids.com.au.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• use InfoKids for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone;
• send false, misleading, offensive or spam submissions;
• send us children's personal information, such as names or photos;
• scrape or bulk-download pages, or overload or try to get around the site's security. If you need data, use our public JSON API and keep requests reasonable;
• copy our listings to build a competing directory.

Our content and other sites

The site's design, the text we write and the way we organise listings belong to InfoKids. Listings link to other websites that we don't control, and we're not responsible for their content or practices.

Liability

We provide InfoKids as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using the site or relying on a listing, including when an event is cancelled, changed or not as described.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability, we limit it to supplying the service again.

Changes

We may update these terms as InfoKids grows, for example when we add accounts. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
