Art Kids - Pine Rivers Art Gallery

Art Kids is a fortnightly program designed to engage young artists in hands-on making and exploration of exhibitions at Pine Rivers Art Gallery.

Participants can expect to learn new skills, connect with their peers, explore different ways of art-making, and most importantly, have fun!

Each session starts with a captivating exploration of artworks, sparking discussions and igniting curiosity around a specific piece.

Parents are welcome to join in or relax in the gallery. All children must be accompanied by an adult during their visit. Places are limited; bookings are essential.

Pine Rivers Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Saturday 14 November | Paint like Joe

Inspired by Joe Furlonger’s unique painting style, this workshop will encourage participants to explore dynamic, expressive and gestural approaches to painting.

Participants will play with a range of processes such as full-body brushstrokes, active gestural drawing, and spontaneous mark-making. They will experiment with painting techniques and colour palettes seen in Joe’s Circus artworks and create their own intuitive expressions.

Saturday 28 November | Circus print parade

Take your art on tour in this exciting postcard printmaking workshop.

Drawing inspiration from the Circus exhibition by Joe Furlonger, participants will explore themes of connection and nostalgia through drawing, composition, and printmaking processes. They will draw on their personal experiences, memories, and imaginations to create their very own postcard set to keep or share.
