Birdworld Kuranda

Stroll through the landscaped gardens of Birdworld and get up-close and personal with over 400 birds. Meet endangered cassowaries, dazzling macaws, native galahs, and cockatoos. Get some great photos as you pose with these friendly birds in their lush rainforest environment.

The Birdworld Kuranda aviary is designed to replicate its birds’ natural rainforest habitat, complete with waterfalls and exotic plants. More than 80 different species reside here, from Australian natives to several international visitors, like South American parrots. Take the opportunity to hand feed rainbow lorikeets or even beautiful white cockatoos (additional expense).
