Museums & Art Gallery
Museum of Contemporary Art Australia – MCA
Take your kid to a place where they are allowed to roam free and be inspired with contemporary art on display. The Museum of Contemporary Art is a family-friendly place with plenty of activities to enjoy. Entrance is free, so there is nothing to lose. Add this to your itinerary and let your kids be artsy-fartsy this school holiday.

Art Gallery of New South Wales
If your kid needs some action this summer. I meant Art action this summer then add this to your holiday list. The Gallery is filled with diverse range of Art collection on display, and the gallery has a range of events for the whole family to enjoy.
Location: Art Gallery Rd, The Domain, Sydney.
Date & Time: Open 7 days a week at 10.00am – 5.00pm, Wednesday at 10.00am – 10.00pm.

Australian National Maritime Museum
Not only will your kids have an awesome time at the Australian National Maritime Museum, but they will also learn a lot while they are there. Rest assure that it will be an adventurous day for everybody.
Location: Located right on Darling Harbour (the Pyrmont side) at 2 Murray St, Sydney.
Date & Time: Open 7 days a week at 9.30am–5.00pm (6.00 pm in January). Last boarding time for Vessels is 4.10pm.
Ticket conditions: Children must be taller than 90cm to go on-board the vessels. On hot days to ensure visitor safety, we close all vessels when the temperature reaches 36° Celsius. You can find out more info here.
Things happening around Sydney
The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
There is a free guided tour that departs daily from the Visitor Centre. They also run many free events so definitely worth checking them out.

Little Darlings Night Owls Kids Film Festival
This is probably the only event of its kind in Sydney – that is for free! Throughout 17 nights, there will be live entertainment and short films for the kids to enjoy. (There will be adults’ films as well, so please check which films are suitable for kids before you go).
Location: 1-25 Harbour Street, Darling Harbour.

Free kids’ yoga at Darling Quarter
Take your kids away from the screens, give them an opportunity to breath in the fresh air and to find their inner Zen with a 30min yoga session. They can stretch their little bodies and not have to worry because this session will be conducted by a qualified kids yoga instructor.
