Puffing Billy Railway

Puffing Billy is Australia’s premier preserved steam railway and runs daily except on Christmas Day. Travel on this century-old steam train through the forests and fern gullies of the Dandenong Ranges, only one hour east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia!

Dangle your legs over the side of the open-sided carriages of the Excursion Trains, or join the many events and dining options available. The Steam and Cuisine Luncheon operates daily (except Victorian Public Holidays) at 12.30pm in the First Class dining carriages. A range of Evening Dining experiences is also available. Thomas the Tank Engine visits every Autumn and Spring, and the children can meet Santa and travel on specially decorated trains at the beginning of December.
